Pours gold with a loose but thick head. Grainy and biscuit on the nose. The taste is plain Jane, not bad but not super either. Smooth on the mouthfeel. This is an average at best beer

Legend 7 has been knocking it out of the park with their packaging. Probably my favorite labels out of any Albertan brewery.
Pours a crystal clear and vibrant golden yellow with a generous frothy head which dissipates quickly and leaves behind some lovely spotted lacing. Subtle but pleasant aroma; malts, apples, and a light note of hops. Taste is quite well balanced. Slightly sweet malts, a touch of fruitiness/citrus, with a nice dry hoppy kick to it. Well carbonated with a smooth, medium body. I do wish it had a bit more punch to it but overall a pretty solid pilsner. Very refreshing and sessionable. Perfect for a hot summer day.

My first experience with this Calgary brewery was a winner! I’m very impressed with the packaging (label and bottle), along with the overall quality of this beer. Clear, gold, with malt and Saaz evident from nose to mouth to finish. I found this in an independent store at an excellent price - it will be competing with Crisp Pils for my backyard fire pit “go to” beer this summer.

330ml, uniquely shaped bottle (for an Alberta brewery, anyway) - an offering brought to you by the envy sin, apparently.
This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow colour, with four fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly bubbly bone-white head, which leaves some decent dense tropical forest pattern lace around the glass as it lazily sinks out of sight.
It smells of gritty and grainy cereal malt, a bit of warm apple and pear skin, subtle lager yeast, and some zingy earthy, leafy, and grassy green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and crackery pale malt, a touch of generic citrus peel, muddled pome fruity notes, a faint petrol astringency, and more leafy, floral, and grassy verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its palate-satisfying frothiness, the body a solid medium weight, and mostly smooth, as the hops make a minor dent in the proceedings at this juncture. It finishes trending dry, the crackery malt and still good to go hops lingering like nobody else is watching.
Overall - this comes across as a very respectful and true-to-form version of this old-school style. Nice and crisp and refreshing, all within a balanced framework, I could see killing a number of these on a sunny backyard deck, or the like, as Spring becomes sprung.
