Pours a beautiful gold colour with a nice head on top. Sweetish and hoppy on the nose, more like an APA. The taste is really nice, somewhat bitter, somewhat tart, floral and hoppy. In my opinion, the characteristics of this beer seem to be more pale ale than India pale ale

8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square - continuing with the sin-based marketing, I see.
This beer appears a slightly hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with one skinny finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat bubbly eggshell white head, which leaves some approaching storm system profile lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.
It smells of grainy and crackery cereal malt, some muddled tropical fruitiness, more domestic citrus rind, a hard water flintiness, and plain leafy, floral, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, underripe orange peel, still mixed and matched exotic fruity notes, a bit of damp minerality, and more understated leafy, herbal, and piney hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly benign in its bored-seeming frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with just a touch of indistinct bitterness maybe not playing nice at this particular point in the game. It finishes trending dry, the malt starting its long, lingering bleeding out process.
Overall - this is a pleasant enough version of the style, with a combination of West Coast and South Seas hop character more or less blending into an agreeable whole. While not legendary (sorry!), it's still worth checking out.
