Served on tap at the downtown Chicago Govnor's. How should I describe it? Perhaps "intensely mild." Carries distinct fruity esters, but registers as "dry" in the back of the tongue. There's also a sourness I can't pin down, and it's a bit off-putting. Maybe a strong hop fighting the esteriness. A good brown color, and a thin pub head with little lacing. Only after you get used to all the above, did I notice the nice malty body. The original Loop Govnor's only had two of its own brands from the Lake in the Hills brewpub, and the bartender expressed his frustration that management wants to keep so many lights on the taps. C'mon everybody! Go to Govnor's on State & Lake and demand our pints!
