(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer has a jet black body with a light tan ring of foam around the edge that fades. I saw the bartender using the 2 step pour method but it must have sat a bit before it got to me, as I missed the whole separation.
S- This beer has a dark black malt aroma with a smooth soft iced coffee note in the finish.
T- This beer has a strong dark coffee flavor with a pot caramel flavor and some notes of dark malt in there aswell. There was a slight sweetness to the malt and a soft tartness in the finish. The bitterness in the finish was from raw grain and not hops and the bitterness hangs on the tongue nicely after each sip.
M- This beer had a light mouthfeel with a watery texture. Pretty thin mouthfeel overall.
D- This beer had more coffee flavor that malt flavor and was pretty thin. It is a bit watered down and doesn't have much interest or depth to it.
