I had this beer on-tap in a shaker pint at the brewery.
Appearance: dark amber-brown hue with. light haze and a thin layer of ivory foam. Dark, but good!
Smell: rich, sweet caramel aroma with just a little bit of attractive … unctuousness? There’s a je ne sais quoi here that appeals to me.
Taste: toasty and caramelly malt, but there’s a thin-ness here. It really does not live up to the aroma, I don’t think.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with okay carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: the aroma on this had so much promise! But overall it just didn’t quite work for me.
