Deep gold pour with a substantial white head that quickly settles from two fingers to one finger. Sad note: no lacing. This is a very flavorful beer. The Euro ingredients (German Pilsner malt, Hallertau/Tettnanger hops) make this an authentic representation of the pils keller style. Grainy, spicy, grassy in your face flavors give this brew a welcome, hearty northern European zest. Worth returning to.

Hidden Sands Brewing Co. "800' Pilsner"
16 fl. oz. can coded "07-31-21 MFG 800' PILS"
$5.29 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a hazy yellow gold body beneath a standard cap of rocky white foam. I was a little surprised to find it hazy but a lot of breweries are doing that these days, and then I noticed that the label reads "KELLER BEER", so there's that. The aroma displays grainy Pilsner malt and floral and spicy hops. Not surprisingly, the taste follows but stronger, and with a little bit of additional grassiness. A firm bitterness balances it, anchors it, and leads to a dry finish with spicy and gently grassy/herbal hops lingering shortly. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently bristling with a fine bubbled, seemingly natural carbonation. The head held up well and it's left some nice lacing about the glass. It's not great but it's good. Nicely done!

A solid pilsner, golden yellow with a thin head. Aroma is mild and malty. Taste is crisp and slightly hoppy. Feel is good, clean and crisp. Overall, it's very tasty.
