Hidden Sands Brewing Co. "Citrus Splash"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$5.29 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Citrus Spalsh pours a hazy golden body beneath a short head of white that fades rather quickly. That's fairly common for sour beers. The aroma is citrusy, and surprisingly realistic. The taste is even more authentic. It's like watered down tangerine juice. I can only assume that they've used real fruit (the label lists orange, lemon, and lime) without any additional flavorings. It's not that sour, which is actually nice as so many breweries are putting out really sour beers these days. It's really refreshing, and I had to check the label for the alcohol content because I thought it might be low. It's actually 5%. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and smooth with a moderate carbonation. It's not loaded with flavor, and it's very one-sided, but at the same time I think it'd make a great summer beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
