Thanks, BA, 'cause without you I likely would never have known this place even existed, let alone so relatively close to home. Damn. At first, I couldn't quite pinpoint the location, as the map made it seem like the property opened onto [Lake Street]. Not so fast, kidz. Sitting right next door to Hackney's (I thought they'd all closed!?), Macushla takes up a good portion of the patio space between them, with something akin to an open garage serving as the bar/brewing/facility area. Not exactly my cup o' tea, what with my aversion to heat and it being Summer and all, but I dealt. I always deal. The bar area's got a couple screens on which we watched some Man Vs Food and whatnot, but those flat faces aren't the intended focus, just an option. I got myself a pair of flights (natch) and enjoyed the range: though somewhat IPA-heavy (whose isn't these days?), there were still some other bits to enjoy, like an IPL and a Scottish ale. Everything was pretty good, even if not outstanding. The bartender, the only real staff on this fairly slow day, was genial, and I overheard him make some solid recommendations for other newcomers based on their other taste-based interests. I didn't notice any food being available, but, admittedly, I could have just glossed over it (I kinda doubt this, though). Pricing was solid compared to the general Glenview area. Overall, a nice little place to have access to, though something tells me I'm gonna wait 'til it cools a little before heading back and re-checking the place out. Not bad at all.

Good beer selection. Could use snacks to purchase, however food is available across lot.

Small taproom that serves beer that is brewed on site. They do not have a kitchen but there are lots of choices close by. The beer was good and the service was friendly and helpful.

This has a 'locals/family' feel to it, and is conveniently located right next door to a good food place (Hackney's). The place is tiny tiny tiny, but has good (albeit) still small outdoor patio that's open during the summers. Service is solid (there usually isn't a big crowd here that's rowdy), but selection is relatively small (10-12 taps, no guest taps) and the beer is average at best. Still, this is a great spot to hang out with friends during the hot summer days.
