From the 12 oz paper wrapped bottle in a snifter. This interesting little
imperial milk stout pours a nice dark obsidian with touches of brown
and a very nice head of tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thin subtle
layer, and shows some subtle lacing. Nose of light blueberries and cream
with light touches of dark chocolate syrup. Flavors far surpass the nose
with blueberries and cream awash in sweet dark chocolate and
intertwined with earthy malts and a hint of vanilla. Nice mouth feel;
medium body, light carbonation, and a sweet blueberry and chocolate
finish.
Overall, a SOLID little brew from a new to me brewery!
Cheers

12 ounce white paper wrapped bottle (says with blueberries), no dating on the paper or bottle that I noticed. No label on the bottle itself, either. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with almost an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like fresh blueberries, blueberry syrup, roasted malt, cream and some chocolate. It tastes like blueberries, blueberry syrup, cream, roasted malt, earthiness, chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Mostly sweet and fruity tasting, but with some bitter roastiness noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was an enjoyable brew, I'll have to try more of the St. Arnulf beers in the future.
