Brilliant and bright American IPA brewed with Columbus, Cashmere and El Dorado. We then this dry-hop this IPA at nearly 4lbs per barrel with Simcoe, El Dorado and Cashmere. Look for a dry, crisp finish with prominent notes of citrus, melon and pineapple.

Received a 16 oz can via trade with @muchloveforhops3 on 10-25-23. Canned 10-4-23; consumed 2-14-24. Cold stored since acquisition. Thanks Doug!

Beer poured clear gold with a nice white head with the original pour.

Nose was dank city upon opening, getting mainly citrus and floral hopping.

Taste is spot on WCIPA as the lighter malt base gives way to a boatload of hops that give me grapefruit and pine with a nice resiny abrasive finish; 7/10 on my bitterness scale.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and refreshing.

Overall this is a very enjoyable westie IPA, glad i was able to try it!

A - so clear and bright, it appears like a kolsch
S - tropical citrus, maybe grassy (assuming my olefactory nerves are not influenced by the power of suggestion in the name
T - I think the combination of hops and malts are providing a banana type of flavor, with citrus and grass. Above average sweet, average (-) bitter
M - Medium(-) body, above average carbonation, finishes dry as its appearance would suggest
O-a great American IPA from a consistantly excellent brewery

Pours a bright & effervescent gold with a thumb of pearl colored head. Above average head retention & lacing

S: Grassy, citrussy

T: Follows the nose, some bready notes, green melon up front. Grassy & piney bitterness as this warms, a little lime & grapefruit too, plus dryness. Finishes pretty dry with lime, grassyness & a little grapefruit

MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation that levels out to crisp. Good balance

A solid, no muss, no fuss IPA that drinks very easy

A: Pours a lightly hazy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate apricot + honey + peach + bright yellow + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy creamy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering approximately 95% of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of herbal + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + citrus/grapefruit + citrus/lime zest hops over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of herbal + citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + citrus/grapefruit + citrus/lime zest hops which impart a moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly soft with a hint of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a refreshing mouthfeel. Enjoyable with nice combination of hop flavors and aromas as well as some pleasant bitterness.

Partially hazy body, golden amber in tone; lots of gently swirling carbonation bubbles; very dense and creamy head, white and sculpted; patchy spots of foam cling to the glass. An intense fruity aroma; berries and melon; banana. Ripe, sweet stone fruit flavor; peach and pineapple; mild hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; mildly coarse on the palate; rich and slippery on the palate; begins with a light residual sugar sweetness and finishes with a kiss of dryness.

For a canned beer over two months in age, this sucker sure delivers some nice fresh and juicy esters to the senses. Mountains Walking products are nearly a no-brainer to try. This beer is a prime example of their dedication to craft and excellence. Balance, depth, complexity -- you find it here.

these guys keep impressing me, they seem to have burst onto the scene in idaho all of a sudden, but each of their beers has ben unique and good, and i am happy to have them here, these beers are modern and clever and smart, nice addition to the market! this is somewhat clear, maybe slightly unfiltered looking but not a hazy to my eye, frothy headed, well carbonated, and with a fantastic and fresh aroma of ripe peach, sweet melon, and orange, maybe a little northwestern pine character, but this is fruity and new school, with what seems to be pretty moderate bitterness and a simple dry cereal grain base and a clean ferment. the flavor confirms, this is balanced like a pale but very minimal on the malt side, and really nothing from the yeast in the flavor mix at all, its the hops that define it. ripe stone fruit, spruce, and pineapple, not at all over saturated, nothing green or biting about it, no real linger on the swallow either. this is easy drinking because its very well made, is medium bodied, on the dry side, and nicely carbonated, quite distinctive on the hop side, and overall real good. these guys have been doing it for me lately, everything is unique and good. i suspect this is only the beginning and we are about to see a whole lot of their stuff flood the market. i am all about it!
