Franconia in northern Bavaria is famous for its smooth, smoky lagers called rauchbiers ("rauch" is German for smoke) made from smoked malts and fermented with lager yeast. For Smoak'Toberfest, we've added another dimension of woody, rustic flavor by cold-lagering the beer on French oak spirals to add hints of woody bramble and elegant tannins. This beer is a crushable lager with a plush body and savory-sweet malty smokiness. Prost!

Taster at brewery. Pale, hazy yellow body with white, airy head.. Light hoppy aroma, fruity notes. Taste is soft, grainy grassy, lightly bitter. Nice!
