Brewed in Collaboration with our dear friends at Project Craft in Spokane, this DDH Milkshake Double IPA is brewed with Pilsner Malt, Oats, Lactose and a dash of Wheat before being conditioned on the perfectly balanced blend of Mango, Strawberry and Toasted Coconut. We then Dryhopped this beer with Citra, Galaxy and Sabro at nearly 6lbs per barrel. You will find this hop profile plays perfectly with the fruit flavor profile, often blending so well it's hard to tell the difference between the two. After dryhopping we conditioned it on Madagascar Vanilla Bean that when paired with the mouthfeel achieved from the lactose gives this Double IPA that classic Milkshake flavor.

A- Well this is a very cloudy beer, with plenty of fruit flesh and yeast suspended within....coloration is what mango puree is, with ever so slight reddish tinge in the background. The head isn't overly big, but is super white, dense and creamy looking, and settles in modest fashion into a scattered thin patchwork over the liquid. It is hard to tell what the carbonation is like, but the lacing appears to be sticky, leaving behind a full layer of foam around the inside of the glass. Overall a decent looking brew!
S- This smells like I'm back in Roatan! Freshly squeezed mango, coconut and strawberry smoothie....very tropical indeed! Underlying aromas of freshly scraped and blended vanilla beans, even perhaps with the whole pod used, yeast, heavy cream, and of course there is an overall fresh, leafy hop cone bitterness providing a pleasant balancing act over the sweet fruits and lactose used here. Yummy to the sniffer!
T- Oh man is this tasty! I honestly feel like I am enjoying a freshly made mango creamsicle...its that creamy! The coconut and strawberries used are complimentary and mild, adding to the overall enjoyment of the fruitiness. I swear there is sweet, freshly whipped full cream used here, with Madagascar vanilla paste used in the blend....wonderful! The hop bitterness remains in the background throughout the taste, only to become more prominent after the swallow....it hits me gently in the sides and back of the tongue and creates a pleasant balance and quenching effect, which lingers and makes me excited to have the next taste!
M/O- Thick, creamy and full bodied, this one is just incredible! The carbonation, while hard to see, is super velvety, and is just so enjoyable....allowing the full juiciness to shine on the palate! This is sweet, bitter, and creamy....just so well balanced overall....a true delight! I am so glad I saw and purchased this last can on the shelf at my local beer store.....I sure hope to see it again...worth the $12 I spent on the single!

16oz can from Woodland Empire. Pours the color of pear nectar, small creamy head. Fruity aroma, strawberry and mango, milk. Taste brings a little vanilla to the mix, coconut eventually shows up at the back, more milky notes. Smooth, sweet, creamy.

Every other milkshake IPA wishes it was this beer. 16oz can poured into a teku.
A: Obviously hazy and murky, dull golden color with a fluffy white head and lace.
S: Impressive nose full of tropical fruit, fruity hops, coconut, vanilla, and lactose sweetness.
T: The palate is a delicious blend of hoppy tropical fruit and decadent sweetness. Pineapple, mango, strawberry, coconut, vanilla, lactose, coconut banana cake, citrus.
MF: Creamy, smooth, fluffy.
O: Very nice. Not cloying. Hits the spot for sure. I am normally not a fan of Mikshake IPA’s but this one works for me.

Look: super hazy and pulpy. Color is darker yellow. Small off white head, good retention.
Aroma: mango coconut are strongest.
Taste: strawberry is more apparent, coconut is very nice and smooth. Vanilla and mango along with grass , palm, light veggie are in the background. Little hint of ginger is interesting. More complex flavor than most milkshake iPad.
Feel: milkshake smooth , medium plus body.
Super tasty. Best of the mountains walking brews I was able to get.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 7/14/20, so 5 weeks old.
Hazy, cloudy orange body. Small bright white head dissipates to a ring, leaving little in the way of lacing.
Really good balanced aromas of strawberry and mango. Gets the mouth watering.
One of those rare beers where every single flavor mentioned on the can comes through. Strawberry, mango, coconut, vanilla, and lactose flavors. All this combined with the warmth of the abv makes for a delicious first mouthful. (Warning, a big "but" coming)
Mouth is between medium and full. But the finish here really spoils the drink. The coconut, vanilla, and lactose make for a severe coating of the tongue that needs several gulps of water to cleanse. It's just too much.
Overall, a good drink spoiled by the finish. Can't help but wonder what the same beer without the vanilla and lactose would taste like.
