This Vienna Lager is brewed in Collaboration with our friends at the Shane Center for the Arts in Livingston and we will be donating 10% of the sales from this beer back to them. Shane Center Vienna Lager is brewed with 100% German Malt and 100% Czech Saaz Hops. As with all of our specialty Lagers, this beer is lagered for 2 MONTHS, giving way to a refreshing and crisp quality that is deceptive given its color. Assertive bitterness provides balance against a malt backbone with notes of caramel and toffee. Enjoy this delicious amber lager and give back to an amazing pillar of our community!!!

Dark amber hue; fat carbonation density; thick, rocky, off-white head. Pleasant, muted malt sweetness on the nose; suggestion of caramel. Excellent taste; balanced malt sweetness with a light touch of hop bitterness. Medium body; dry sweetness.
A pleasant little beer. It doesn't offer anything stunning, just an easy drinking, malt-forward beer.
Pouring temperature: 53 °F; canning data: SHANE-CNTR 11/01/21

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Dark golden pour, thin foamy head. Malty aroma, brown bread. Taste is more toasted malts, light sweetness. Full mouthfeel. Solid example of the style.

Very dark for a Vienna Lager. Clear copper/red color with a finger of long lasting head. Smells and tastes more traditional. Aroma of grassy hops and lightly toasted/grainy malt. Flavor is a little too sweet and a bit buttery to be considered crisp and refreshing. There are some unfermented sugars present as well. But the customary Vienna malts and Noble hops come through nicely. The finish has that imported beer flavor. Something I have not experienced before in many domestic lagers before. Nice carbonation and body but unfortunately it is not very clean. Has some solid qualities but its too sweet and the fermentation was not as good as it should be. This seems to be a brewery that makes their name with hazy IPAs and fruited kettle sours where you can get away with sloppy fermentation. Maybe lagers is a step too far for them at this point.

A- Clean lager character on the nose. Light bready malt aroma with faint hops in the background.
L- Brilliant copper color. Off white foam that slowly fades leaving some lacing.
F- Toasted bread malty richness, light floral hop character with a pleasant caramel finish.
M- Smooth body with a hop bitterness that dries out the finish, but ends on a sweeter note.
Overall a tasty Vienna Lager. Towards the end of enjoying the whole beer, the finish felt sweeter and closer to cloying. The balance of the beer leans towards the sweeter end, but I have still enjoyed the whole 16oz can.
