We love pushing boundaries while still holding true to German lagerbier traditions. This is our homage to German Pilsner. Step-mashed, unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and cold-conditioned for 2 months. 100% German Weyermann Barke Pilsner Malt and 100% German Tettnanger Hops.

Cloudy golden body with a white cap and very mild lacing. Smell starts with pilsner staples: bread, faint grain, cracker and grassy hops, but there is a faint citrus hop note in there that seems out of place. This citrus anomaly explodes in the taste, becoming a star of the complexion, bread, honey and grain there too. It's not bad, just odd in a german pilsner. Feel is light, smooth, moderately crisp, but wetter for style, almost verging on juicy

Pours a semi-cloudy bright golden color. Nicely effervescent, feeding the head. Huge pillowy white head forms on the beer with a vigorous pour. Head recedes leaving behind lots of sticky lacing. A thin layer of sudsy foam remains on tip of the beer. It that slight haze was cleared up this would be near perfect in appearance. As it is, its still a lovely looking beer.
Aroma has notes of white bread, straw, light notes of honey and sweet malt with notes of floral, grassy hops.
Taste follows the nose with notes of white bread, straw, sweet honey and mildly bitter hops bringing in floral and grassy notes. There is a certain sweetness to the pilsner.
Feel is light, crisp, drinkable. The bitterness reads on the palate as a drier finish. Moderate, smooth carbonation.
Overall a very nice American brewed traditional German pilsner

Chopping Wood - German-Style Pilsner

Pilsner has dominated my summer; I will continue with another pilsner. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a German pilsner glass. The pour created a massive two-fingered bright white head. The retention is excellent, leaving lacing on the glass as it slowly dissipated. The color of the beer charts around SRM 2, pale straw yellow. The beer is clear, with a few carbonation bubbles lazily making their way to the top. A beautiful beer with an excellent showing.
The aromas I detect are toasted crackers, light crackers, lightly toasted malts, a touch of floral esters, and a faint malty sweetness.
The flavors are toasted crackers, lightly toasted malts, slight earthiness, floral esters, faint malty sweetness, and subtle breadiness.
The mouthfeel of the beer is crisp, clean, and carbonated.
The body of the beer is light, medium carbonation, and light finish.
This pilsner is incredible. This is the definition of what a pilsner should be. Stellar beer!

Light yellow body; decent carbonation; somewhat thin yet persistent head, creamy and leaving fingers and blobs of foam inside the glass. Light, sweet malt scent infused with floral notes. Exquisitely balanced beer flavors; soft and nuanced malt notes; delicately sweet; moderate hop bitterness that doesn't overpower the malt base; light berry and musk melon notes. Medium body; crisp with a mild overall warmth; soothes the palate.
Yes, indeed! This is a must try German styled pilsner. It is balanced and complex, easy drinking, and so satisfying.
Served at 59° F; CANNED ON 01/10/21 GRP 110
