Tasted at the taproom in a sampler flight.

L - Just a bit hazier than the standard Namur. Good head, which is impressive because it can be challenging to maintain that in barrel aged beers.

S - Interesting aromas echo the original beer, but add low pine, juniper and cinnamon.

T - Very complex herb and spice notes on top of the base beer. Reminiscent of a gruet, or some of the more experimental Jester King “kitchen sink” spiced beers I’ve had. It’s mind-blowing that the only difference from the base beer is a gin barrel aging.

F - Same Feel as the base Quad.

O - A unique beer that shows the power of a barrel to drastically alter a beer.
