Interesting place, located in the old Metropolitan Brewery space on Ravenswood. Tiny brewery shop in front, with tastings available inside the brewery itself, which they had to explain to everyone walking in the door. Green walls, cool art and brewery swag on the walls. Small cooler with to-go cans and growlers also available.
Draft selection was limited to 7 beers, a couple more available to go in cans. Decent variety of styles, though some room for improvement. The sour ale was super sulfuric, but the Schwarzbier and DIPA were good. Canned Packy was good, canned Pop Hops was a poor Brut IPA, underdeveloped and under-attenuated, like grainy hop tea. Still not a fan of the brewery name, but they do make a few good beers.
Service was great, Marcy was very personable and chatted with us about the beers. They had a table in the brewery where you could sit, also a bags game that another group put to use after we came in.
They said they'll be opening a taproom next summer in Andersonville near Jerry’s, so keep an eye out for that. Edit: Looks like they expanded next door into the Koval space instead. 2022: Rumors of imminent closure.
