Copenhagen 28/12 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. What looks like a photo from a public park on the can. Arpus seems to be contesting for the most remarkable and slightly dull design in the industry.
Pours opaque, hazy pale yellow with a very big white head. Quite bubbly. Settles quickly as a thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong, citric odor mingling with softer exotic fruit. Earthy touch. Peach and papaya. Lime and grape fruit. Hints of pine and peppermint.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is citric and bitter. Lingers for a while into a dry finish.
Fine and dry but not without balance.
