Pours a dark amber coloration with a large, foamy head. Smells of wheaty malt and tropical fruits, with a certain lactic sourness also being noticeable. Taste is a great balance of light wheaty malt and tropical fruits, with mango and pink guava standing out particularly here, as well as a good underlying lactic sourness. Finishes with a light/medium sourness and some tropical fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for an enjoyable Sour Ale with a great balance of sweet, musty and slighlty acidic tropical fruit notes, good underlying sourness and a great, full body and mouthfeel. It's rather sweet and just a little boozy, but the tropical fruits really stand out quite bright and vibrant here, although being somewhat dominated by the mango. The sourness is rather laid back, and barely manages to balance out the sweetness, but overall this makes for an enjoyable, refreshing brew that could perhaps have done with just a little more intense sourness.
