Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical hops, with notes of passion fruit and pineapple, as well as just a hint of cat piss. Taste is a good balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly, earthy and resinous hops, with strong tropical and much lighter citrus notes of passion fruit, pineapple and grapefruit, as well as just a hint of pine. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some passion fruit and pineapple lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I've really enjoyed all the few beers I've had by Arpus so far and will be on the lookout for more of their stuff, this being a really well done NEIPA featuring some vibrant, juicy tropical notes backed by hints of earthy, resinous accents, finishing with a good bitterness for the style, with a great body and mouthfeel as well. Overall, this makes for an enjoyable Double NEIPA with a really nice and interesting flavor profile that has that typical tropical juice to it, but shakes it up a little with some more earthy, resinous and bitter notes as well, which is just the way I like it personally.
