Copenhagen 18/6 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-ship. Modernistic design reminding me of Mondrian's squares in direct clear colors.
Pours hazy, slightly dirty yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a prominent sweet, fruity odor with citric notes rummaging just behind. Sweet peach, tangerine, canned pear. Lemon and lime. Light whiff of alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Finish is semi dry with a streak of alcohol and fermentation.
Solid, intense DIPA which does not try to hide its ABV.

16oz. can served in a tulip. Pours a dull, burnished orange with a rocky, one inch, bright white head embedded with singlets. Clarity is hazy. Delicate, concentric bands of lacing are revealed during the tasting. Nose expresses a big burst of navel oranges, with a slight candied quality, pith and herbal notes. Taste consistent with nose, albeit less candied and more bitter/herbal. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a kiss of oiliness to the texture and a carbonation shy of assertive. Overall, a solid old school DIPA. Nice one!
