Oat India Pale Ale brewed with Chinook, Citra, and Simcoe
We’ve recently become massive fans of Oat IPAs here at Polly’s. Whether that’s down to enjoying the extra body it brings to our beers, or subconsciously wanting more oats thanks to a newfound obsession with oat milk in our coffees in the brewery is up for debate, but there’s definitely something about upping the oats on the malt bill that really make our beers pop.
Featuring 50kg in the mash, this beer has a distinctive creaminess present throughout; buffed up by a generous dry hop bill of Simcoe and Citra for some tropical juiciness, with some Chinook thrown in for some old school bite for good measure.

Pours a hazy yellow with fine, wispy head.
Smell is juicy and fruity with notes of mango, pineapple, passionfruit and a slight hint of tartness.
Taste is juicy and a bit dank. Notes of citrus, mango and pineapple, with amild, chalky bitterness. Slight fruity tartness and a dry finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice IPA, drinkable and balanced.
