L: Black with several streams of micro bubbles running up the glass. Thick, fluffy head is mocha coloured with a distinctive pink tinge.
S: Raspberry cordial.
T: Strong flavour of crisp, tart (not soft, luscious) raspberry, like underripe fruit. Soft vanilla finish and just a hint of cocoa.
F: Moderately astringent sourness becomes mouth puckering over time. Hop bitterness is low to zero.
O: The raspberry flavouring really dominates this porter to the point it is overpowering. Any chocolate malt flavour or smooth mouthfeel is lost. Too assertive for me.
