We’ll always preach about how much we love a good 5% pale here at Polly’s, and we’ve been on an everlasting quest to hit that 5% mark whilst maintaining the flavour intensity and body of one of our bigger beers. We may have finally cracked the puzzle with White Noise – with a hop bill of Citra, El Dorado, and finally Cryo AND T90 Simcoe, all wrapped up in a hearty lashing of LA3, this beer is massive on suspension within the beer, resulting in a pale ale that drinks like it should be hitting the 8%+ mark. A whole swag bag of juicy, juicy hop notes are abound in this kickass pale ale.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Muddy yellow-ish colour, white head. Fruity aroma and flavour, notes of citrus, hints of tropical fruits and spruce. Very nice and refreshing.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head.Smells of light biscuity malt and soft tropical/citrus/stone fruit hops, with notes of papaya, orange and peach, as well as some earthy, herbal accents. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and earthy, almost woody, slightly resinous and somewhat juicy tropical/citrus/stone fruit hops, with notes of orange, papaya, mango, peach and just a hint of cedar and pine. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some orange, mango, cedar and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation.

An excellent Pale Ale that walks that fine line between juicy/fruity and earthy/resinous hops with ease, resulting in a very enjoyable brew that has got some character to it in addition to the zesty citrus, lightly acidic tropical and sweet stone fruit notes. Very balanced, very expressive and with a rather nice body and mouthfeel for the ABV as well.
