Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a 440ml can into a snifter
Canned 27 November 2020
Hops: Azzaca
DDH IPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, medium looking, fluffy white head with great retention. Cloudy amber orange with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full wisp and clings to the glass. A splotchy wisp remains and leaves solid lacing down the glass as it empties. Good looking.
SMELL: Peach, apricot, tropical fruits aromas of mango and passion fruit, some light pineapple and touches of wheat on the nose. Bold enough.
TASTE: Bold and flavorful start, with peach, apricot, some pineapple and tropical fruits, with a light caramel sweetness at the swallow. Bold finish of tropical fruits, passion fruit, pineapple, some mango notes, peaches, a light touch of sweet caramel and a touch of bitterness lingers on the palate. Bold and flavorful.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch dry on the palate. No real bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Really good. There’s definitely lots of flavor in this one, and the hop character is very enjoyable. A good looking NE style IPA as well. The Duvel guy recommended this one to me and I’m glad I took him up on it. Solid aroma and flavor, and well-made all around. Check it out if you see it. Cheers!
