Copenhagen 30/12 2023. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Can in shades of purple with Polly’s characteristic droplet in gold.
Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as uneven lumpy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a light odor of sweet tropical fruit mingling with zesty citrus fruit. Pineapple and peach. Grapefruit and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and citric. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Soft and zesty.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Opaque pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus and various tropical fruits (lychee, pineapple, mango, passionfruit). Smooth mouthfeel. Smooth flavour too, not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. A moderate bitterness in the aftertaste.
