It was only a matter of time, wasn't it? The original Augment trilogy is now complete, as Rosa now joins its siblings Spur and Patternist in the TIPA club. Overwhelmingly popular every time we've brewed it previously, each incarnation of the headline act of our original three has progressively gotten better and better, and we've spared no expense on this version either. Featuring an insane 70kg of hops - ten in the whirlpool, sixty in the dry hop, we've given this version of our most well-renowned beer an extra lashing of Galaxy alongside its superstar lineup of Citra, Mosaic, Columbus and Ekuanot, just to give it that little push into the stratosphere. Our favourite DIPA to brew, now in TIPA form, Rosa blooms with a bouquet of everything dank and juicy.

Copenhagen 11/1 2024. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Polly's usual design with a droplet in black and rose flowers in the background. All very rosa.
Pours opaque, slightly dirty, golden yellow with a mid-sized white head.Stable. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor of overripe Stone fruits mingling with a more subtle citric scent. Fermented and slightly boozy mango and peach. Citrus and lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick. oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is sweet and boozy.
Potent and sweet with a nice bitter afterthought.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet Sola. ABV is 10.0%. Hops are Citra, Ekuanot, Galaxy, Mosaic and Simcoe. Opaque / murky yellow colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of over-ripe pineapple, papaya and guava, hints of citrus and sprucetips. Sweet (too sweet?) flavour of said over-ripe fruits and alcohol. Low to moderate bitterness.
