Copenhagen 1/6 2019. 44 cl can from Crate, Jægersborggade, Kbh N. As Polly's Brew Co. El Dorado Simcoe India Pale Ale. Close up of Woodpile on the can.
Pours hazy, milky, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam. Clinging to the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is is intense with sweet fruit and citric. Sweet exotic fruit with Papaya, Mango and Peach. Juicy citric notes of Grape fruit and Citrus. Juicy and acidic in the nose.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, prickly texture.
Flavor is intense. Medium sweetness followed by a slightly stronger texture. Aftertaste is citric and bitter with a lighter sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while.
Nicely balanced, juicy NEIPA. I will happily climb that Woodpile.
