Pint on draft in a shaker at Great Lost Bear in Portland.
Appearance: Pours a deep clear ruby with slight eggshell head. More like a ring of bubbles. Not a ton of carb.
Aroma: Tea, malt, some grass, grain, bread.
Taste: Follows nose. Brown tea flavor leads the way. Malty. Very minimal hop.
Mouthfeel: Surprisingly heavy and thick. Filling. Takes a while to drink all of this despite rather low ABV.
Overall: I want to love this, but it’s very average. Just not a ton of flavor going on here. Not offensive, just not memorable either.

Taster at brewpub. Mahogany pour, thin ring of off-white head. Light malty aroma, woody, caramel. Taste is malty, sweet and with a dry bitterness. Kind of weak.

Has a medicinal, almost whiskey-like taste. Frankly this blew me away for a random gas station purchase. Impossible to get drunk off it, but oh well. Would get again.
