Made in collaboration with Scott Kurtz (Kurtzhaus Brewing, St. Brewis Podcast, Brewminati Homebrew Club) and Kyle Wolf (Carboy Junkies Homebrew Club), our Maple Pecan Marzen weds the toasty and bready malt flavors of a traditional Oktoberfest lager with 40 lbs. of pecans and 10 lbs. of sweet maple wood, toasted and candied in extra-dark Vermont maple syrup. The aroma will present a small amount of toasted pecan, maple, and bready flavors; while the initial flavor comes off as a traditional Marzen, the silky-smooth texture and lingering maple-nutty aftertaste lets you know that this isn’t an ordinary lager.
