Bottle. Golden amber. Dense head.
Lemony aroma. Somewhat metallic smell that continues into the flavour.
A slight improvement upon tasting as the metal diminishes. Underlining malt is just apparent. Quite bitter.
Moderate body and carbonation.
Refreshing at best.

Pours medium amber pale ale with a medium white foam residing perfect. Scent is light pale malt and a nice light hop profile. Taste is medium caramel malt and plenty of hops. Smooth and creamy.

Purchased from the Marks & Spencer supermarket, coming in a large 568ml brown bottle; BB 03/2014, served lightly chilled in a straight imperial pint glass.

A: pours a clear, bright amber colour, coming with a thin off-white foamy head settling fast to a blanket, on top of rather mild carbonation.
S: peach-flowery upfront on the nose, littered with some sweet orangey notes also, light-bodied sweet and gristy pale malts, altogether very nice, clean even (in terms of the theme of hops), showing a balance b/w malts and fragrant Cascade hops.
T: lightly fizzy upfront, the swallow of lightly sweet pale malts is underlined by a rather light-bodied hop infusion, which comes with moderate sweet flowery and citric flavours, but ensued quickly by a gentle bite from the spicy hop bitterness. Lingeringly bitter, lightly chewy, but not too dry or tannic in the aftertaste, finishing rather clean, in fact.
M& O: refreshing on the palate though slightly too fizzy for my liking, this is a medium-bodied, flavoursome pale ale made with American hops but retains a quality that is intrinsically Bitter-like, quite akin to other pale ales brewed by the same brewery. Pleasant and not demanding also.
