Pours a clear golden color with abundant foam in the Kolsch glass. Modest grainy aroma. Lush and sudsy mouthfeel is the big feature. Flavor is wet grain and some grassy notes. Resiny and gummy aftertaste. This goes down easy but then I don't want any more. Yet another attempt at an interesting light Lager, which I applaud, but this is not the one for me. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing. Dated 01/17/25.

16 oz. on tap at the brewery

L: gorgeous all around, brilliantly clear yellow-gold with a creamy head of dense white/offwhite foam that sticks a little; a massive amount of activity in the glass pushes up a constant collar and most of a skin; beautiful

S: light pale malt, cracker, twinge of peach

T: nice mix of sweet-bitter ... bit of sweet light malt, hint of earthy/peppery hops to balance

F: light but also creamy, gives it a feel of a light middleweight

O: I wanted something light and simple to start a session with, and this brew fits the bill perfectly. Good amount of flavor in a style where flavor is often sorely lacking. If I could get 6-packs of this at home in Texas, it would easily replace the few macro AALs I enjoy. A great beer.

my first from common space and its excellent, a mexican lager, which we need a category for here on BA, light as they come, delicious morning beer, right on with a hangover, and the kind of beer that makes me feel like drinking beer again fairly immediately declaring i would never drink beer again, thats a big compliment for a humble lager. light blonde, real radiantly bright, clear and bubbly, looks polished and delicate and summery, and smells that way too, a tad sweet up front from what must be a little corn in the mash, european pils malt breadiness too, a little more character on the grain side than a lot of these have because of it, less neutral, im into it, and its all there in the flavor, lovely and fresh distinctive grain foundation for it. the hops are very light but add enough bitterness to make this snappy, but it kind of seems like the yeast does that more, with a real nice dry back end and a super clean, well lagered profile overall. faint fruitiness from it as this strain can bring, but its light and easy drinking beer that gets only the needed contributions from each element beyond the malt, i think is super refined and i could drink a dozen or more of them, i like that i can taste the corn, i love how light the body is, and the high carbonation is perfect for the style. flavorful enough to not need a lime, but it looks like they do some fruited variants that i could see working real well, this could be a fine base for just about any fruit as far as i am concerned. a really dialed in example of the style with maximum drinkability, impressive first beer for me from these guys, i will be on the lookout for more. this is an ideal summer refresher, extremely professionally done. i cannot believe the negative review here, from awhile ago so maybe this has improved, but its wonderful beer right now...

Like watching Telemundo at midnight, there is a loss in translation. It’s not bad like diarrhea after Chipotle’s latest recall, but Raul ain’t exactly screamin’ from the rooftops, ya feel me? It’s hella straight up on Mexican Lager flavors, but there is way too much syrup in the end like that Titanic floozy that didn’t want to let Leo go.

Pass!
