Poured at fridge temp. Pours jet black with a bit of brown head. Nose is cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate, Christmas cake, plums, and raisins. The taste follows the nose. Very Christmas forward. Cinnamon, nutmeg, dates, figs, prunes, vanilla, chocolate, and a touch of roasted malts. Mouthfeel is fairly thick. Aftertaste is all Christmas spice. Lots of nutmeg. Overall, an interesting stout, but not worth the $25.
