The unclear liquid is brown-red, the compact white foam is finger-thick. Some lacing remain on the glass as it drops.
The smell is fruity-spicy with dry yeast tones and some syrupy mash. It is unclean and feels unfinished.
The flavour is clearly worty, yeasty and sweet (raw sugar and brown sugar) it grows and gets a bit tricky to drink. Unclean malty flavours makes me think of fermenting dough. Mid sized body. Strong sweet aftertaste with some lactose sweetness and a lot of warts. Strong earthy finish.
Strong carbonation, small short-lived bubbles. Sticky liquid
No, this was not very good. I asked the staff behind the bar if this really was the way it should. They pointed out that the keg was just plugged in and took a taste. They certainly agreed that it was worty, but that everything was in order.
