16 oz can

A classic amber color with golden hues and highlights. Dense white foam cap. Nice staying power.

The aroma has some grainy malty aspect usually found with English IPA's . The malt is pretty big here, but the hops also deliver fresh pine, slight citrus, earthy and fruity tones.

A rather sharp, bitter hop bite and medium body approach gets your attention fast. Earthy, slightly bitter hop flow with maybe some grainy, and slightly burnt caramel malt aspects bring us back to more of a "West coast" style IPA, going against the current trend of "New England" style ipa's with mostly juicy hops and a lighter malt complexity.

Not a bad, rather "old school" approach to the style.

Pours a hazy golden hue with blonde streaks. Light citrus on the nose. Mouth puckering citrus bitterness upfront. Finish leaves a lot to desire, a little weak. Worth a try.

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a glossy yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Crisp film of a quickly dissipating white semi-foamy head. Sly lace. The aroma had some citrusy and floral hops, sweet to bitter but not blended. Some balancing malts. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side through the blend of malts and hops. Nice mostly sweet clean aftertaste. Quick sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. ABV felt fine. Overall, decent AIPA leaning towards the sweet side. I didn’t mind for me.

A very light and fruity IPA. Perfect summer IPA for when you don't want to get hammered too quickly since it's 5.5% NOT 6% as this site says. That's the only thing holding me back from rating it higher.

On tap at the scene of the crime.

A- Golden amber color, very clean and filtered clear. Rings of lacing are left from the modest white head. Fairly carbonated.

S- Floral hop aroma, that's about it.

T-Floral and fruit hop flavors, some citrus. Quite malty, too.

M- Good body, solid malt backbone. Some dry hop bitterness. Easy to drink.

O- Pretty good effort from a small brewpub. I would have liked to pick up broader aroma.
