Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a mostly dark brown close to black in color with a nice looking bar pour’s kind of white foamy head. A finger’s worth of foaminess that gently escapes to leave some subtle lace. The aroma, obviously starts off with a big sweet milk chocolate embracing a subtle roast underneath. Some vanilla extract. The flavor leans towards the sweet side taking the milk chocolate fully forward and bringing the vanilla over top of the roast. Wet sweet sort of chocolate-like aftertaste and moves nicely into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt nice and low and smooth. Overall, for the most part, it’s a nicely done sweet stout, yes, it’s "sweet" all around, but hey, it’s the style, don’t bust on it too much.
