Not a bad offering from Rutland Beer works; however, the look, taste, and feel is more IPA. Pours more amber with decent head though the retention is fading. Worth trying.

L: Clear Amber with no head and no lacing
S: Citrus, pine and caramel malt.
T: Moderate bitterness, grapefruit and lime with some pine. Some candied malt rounds things out.
F: Thin and watery, but at least crisp and dry. Kind of seltzer like.
Overall: A tasty pale ale, worth trying if you are at the brewery.

Can to becher pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy orange color with a small cap of a little off white foamy head. Some lace here and there.
The aroma had some grapefruit to orange fruity hops with a light danky character, somewhat oniony but with a little bit of pine. Then smooth malty biscuits came in underneath.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a fair bitter balancing hoppiness of onions, oranges and grapefruit coming in underneath. Mild aftertaste of grapefruit, onion and oranges.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and ABV. Nice finish of hoppy onions, grapefruit and oranges to balancing malts.
Overall, a fine APA well worthy of coming back to.

Picked up a few cans while traveling in VT. Interesting brand name and an attractive pint can which caused me to notice it among the wide variety of cans in the cooler. Definitely a Pale Ale and not some milder version of an IPA. Well worth a repeat purchase in this competitive craft world.

Really dark taste. Almost like it was roasted. Reminded me off iced black tea.

Pint can.
A hazy golden orange coloration, healthy, all white sea foam style topping. Rocky and chunky foam, big clumps provide constant coverage. Thick, chunky lacing is pretty nice.
This has a major IPA style nose, filled with earthy citrus, pineapple and golden grains. The malt seems light, yet mildly sweet with a golden wheat and oats effect. Very bold.
The flavor is much more Pale Ale than the nose. A light but smooth body feel leads to some big malty tones of wheat, oats, assorted grains, mostly earthy overall. The light, crispy body rides on very smoooth and mellow with some decent dry effects as well. The hops smell very fruity but it's all dry-earthy flavor's. Rich pine and herbal earth tones that blend with the rather yummy malt taste very well. Really excellent balance for the style, which goes above and beyond with texture and body of the mouthfeel. Very healthy stuff.
Another new-ish Micro Brewery in Vermont, this one being very local to my area. (NH border and Southern Vermont) Bringing an abundance of Quality brews.
