Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass; born on 8/22/22. Pours Amber brown with two inches of head that slowly recedes. Tastes of toasted caramel with subtle notes of spices and crackers. Not a malt bomb that some Ofests tend to be; very good!

A sturdy pour released a finger sized soapy off-white head with average retention and small sliding spots of foam.
Clear copper-gold with amber highlights, real nice.
Bold smell of bready malt and floral/herbal hops with faint toasted multi grain bread.
Neutral taste with average bitterness at first, it quickly becomes semi-dry with a rise in bitterness. Bready malt with dryness from toasting plus hop bitterness keeps sweetness in the background. A tea-like flavor rises as others drop off at the crisp and fast finish, bold bitter hops linger.
Medium light bodied with fizzy and lasting carbonation. Smooth and very well balanced, session-able and true to Festbier style. Canned on 8/02/21 Das Boot.
