Smoked IPA
This distinct IPA has a hint of smoke over a roasty malt backbone, providing a slight dryness that compliments the herbal bitterness of Columbus hops. This one will remind you of bonfires and bacon, while making you forget about the horrifying bacon bonfire of 75' . And yes, that is a fictitious and delicious event.

On draft at The Dabbler Store. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace. It smelled very smoky with coffee, toffee and pine. Smoked malt taste with coffee, caramel and a bitter bite.

Pour is a dense black color with a creamy tan head . Smell has campfire smoke with roasted malts and chocolate . Taste follows nose with the addition of citrus hops mixed with roasted malts some pine resins in finish. Mouth feel has a great smoke malt flavor baked with a Black IPA a great compliment to both. Loved it

S: Mild smoke and roast aromas lead. Malt is moderate with some mild hop and fermentation fruit notes.
L: Drops bright dark brown under a massive 4” light to medium tan cap with good retention.
T: The flavors start mildly sweet start with some smoke. Bitterness comes through mid-palate and grows through the finish.
F: The body is medium plus and the carbonation is medium low.
O: This is an interesting full-flavored beer. The smokiness is not overwhelming and it grows as you drink it and is very nice. This is a good beer to pair with sharp cheddar cheese.

I am not a smoked beer fan but this one is surprisingly pleasant.
