Poured in a glass.
Look: Poured with a tan head with a mix of small bubbles. Head persists. Some and infrequent bubbles coming out of solution. Jet black in color. Fairly clear beer when tipped and looking through the "corner." Yeast on bottom of bottle.
Smell: Malt sweetness followed with roast. Light coffee and chocolate. No alcohol/solvent or hop aroma.
Taste: Clean with no off flavors. Med-low roast and chocolate and low coffee notes. Low sweetness. Very low-esters. No alcohol heat. The great flavor lingers for some time.
Mouth Feel: Full-body, medium carbonation, smooth and creamy.
Overall: Very pleasant to drink. Mild roast and chocolate play nice with the mild sweetness and smooth finish. Can easily finish more than one bottle in a sitting!
