A barrel-aged imperial stout brewed in collaboration with Mt. Pellier Hut Domino Club, home of the Beer Drinking Pigs and St. Croix’s famous mamma wanna. They provided us with some secret herbs brought directly from the Dominican Republic to brew the beer with. It was then aged in rum barrels for the duration of hurricane season, about 5 months. The result is a dangerously easy-drinking beer with notes of rum and mama wanna.

12 ounce can, date stamp on the bottom is off centered but looks like it says canned 11/27/2024. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this can! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch cola like tan head that fizzled away kinda quickly. Not much lacing at all. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like roasted malt, rum, coconut, molasses and some dark fruit. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but with some anise, oak, ginger and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Nice rum barrel character too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a tasty overall brew, certainly worth trying if you're able to!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via the Little Lady's daughter and Jamie! Cheers!
This very nice imperial pours a dark blackish brown with a moderate head of khaki
foam that settles to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports some light lacing
with some decent legs. Nose of rum, coconut, cinnamon, dark roasted malts, raisins,
and herbal notes of anise and molasses. Flavors surpass the nose with coconut, rum,
oak, raisin, vanilla, anise, molasses, cinnamon, clove, and subtle ginger. Mouth feel
is medium full, smooth, rich, warming, faint carbonation, and a sweet faintly dry finish.
Overall, a stunner of a brew!
Cheers
