16oz can
Pours three massive fingers of pillowy tan head into my Willi. Retention is pretty decent and the head lasts a few minutes before settling into a solid sliver. Lacing is thick. Body is a deep amber. Looks very nice.
Nose has big notes of nutmeg and savory pumpkin. Doesn’t smell too sweet or artificial. Haven’t had many pumpkin beers in the last few years, as my interest has faded, but this smells inviting.
Flavor dances on the tongue, spices are present but not overpowering - allspice is notable - lands firmly with the savory pumpkin as the backbone. This is modest in the right areas, while being very flavorful. I’ll be, I like this.
Carbonation is medium-low. Somewhat light bodied. Bitterness isn’t very noticeable. Moderately sweet, but definitely appropriate and not over the top. Mouthfeel is great.
Drinkability is wonderful.
This is really really nice.
