16-ounce can purchased at Belmont Station, Portland, OR. Date stamp reads "GOW 10/30/25". Enjoyed in a nonic half-pint glass.
This clear golden beer with butter yellow highlights sports a fluffy head of snowy white foam that doesn't offer much retention but leaves bountiful lacing. The nose leads with a burst of pine seasoned with plenty of orange peel. The taste inverts the nose, opening with orange zest followed by pine. The orange flavor turns juicy and mildly tart through the middle. Notes of grapefruit and pine sap add interest, along with an intriguing black pepper note. The beer is a hair too sweet, but I like the bold finishing bitterness. Overall it's a very good WCIPA which doesn't quite live up to the impressive pedigree of the collaborating brewers.
