On tap at the brewpub today.
The beer pours a golden amber color with fair head retention and lacing. On the nose I'm getting some tropical fruit, dry citrus and light onion. This smells pretty good. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, but seems to fall off on the finish. There's decent bitterness, but the finish is almost watery. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a pretty innocuous, bland finish. The alcohol is pretty well integrated into the flavor profile, so drinkability isn't bad.
There's nothing wrong with this wcipa, but I was expecting better for the 8th anniversary. GOW is something of an ipa specialist in the area, and that's really not reflected in this beer.
