Poured into a Nonic.
Pours watermelon/gold and fairly hazy. Nice head and retention.
Aromas of berry, citrus, honeysuckle, and fresh-mown grass.
The brew is a tad sweet for a sour, but still pretty good. Melon, berry, and blood orange on the front half of the palate. In midstream, some tartness arrives, but doesn't quite rise to typical "sour" levels. The finish is grass and herbs. Kettle sours can be pretty one-note. This one is not.
Refreshing and light on the tongue. Not crisp or drying, but modestly puckery.
A touch more acid would really boost this one. As-is, it's an extremely drinkable fruited semi-sour. Very drinkable, and more complex than some.
