Described as an Imperial IPA, it is actually very smooth for a 9% ABV drink. I would describe it as a double New England IPA as it is quite fruity and not as dank (?) as other imperials/doubles. That's neither good nor bad, just a style. Would drink again, but I prefer the Hazy IPA from Overhop a bit more.

Wow. Lace that won't quit. Honey gold , slightly hazed beer under a moderate head that won't surrender. Settles to a short cap, but lace and lace and lace. Impressive.
Nose is quite sweet from malt and offers up a pretty common grapefruit nose. Puffy sweet mouthfeel, some bitterness at the end takes a bit of the edge off. Typical fruity IIPA, not too heavy handed on the hop side surprisingly, but big tropical fruit finale. Really noticeable pineapple. Hefty ABV is nicely melded into the brew, so it'll just sneak up on you -- stay seated.
Drinkable, if a little too sweet. Interesting fruit finish.
