I picked up this 25 ounce, wax-covered, bottle from the brewery just a few days before they closed shop. This is simply a wonderful beer. Black, thick, opaque, with a thick chocolate-milk head. Wow. The aroma is intense....wild dark chocolate scents, caramel underneath, booze, and maybe a little Belgian phenols and esters deep hidden within. Decadent. The taste is balanced, with incredible dark coffee and chocolate flavors. Thick and mouth-coating heft. Blanket-like flavor and satisfaction. This one is incredible.
