16oz can purchased at Community Pint in Spokane, Washington, for $3.99. According to the stamp on the bottom, it was canned in October, 2018. I sorta forgot it in my fridge.
Poured into a shaker pint glass, this was a lemony and somewhat hazy golden color, with an inch of off-white foam.
The label calls this a "Modern Northwest India Pale Ale," but it seems pretty old-school to me. Bitter, citrusy grapefruity and piney hop aroma.
The Citra, Mosaic and Motueka hops front load the flavor with mildly sweet citrua -like flavors and tropical fruit notes. There's a very mild piney bitterness on the back of the taste, but it's fairly low in amplitude. Not so old-school in this department.
Medium bodied, with an oily, resiny mouthfeel.
A pretty nice IPA, all things considered. Not sure I'd regularly pay $4 for fridge cans of this when I can get Bodhizafa for less, but if I were to encounter this on tap at one of my locals, I'd definetly have a pint. Good stuff!
