Pours a slightly viscous body with an off-reddish brown color. Alcohol, sweet & bitter aromas as is the taste. Almost too sweet, but very good Russian Imperial Stout

On tap at the Taps Beer Reserve in Ridgefield today.
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and decent lacing. That being said, this has the look of a beer that has seen considerable barrel aging. On the nose, I'm getting considerable bourbon, chocolate, vanilla and light coffee. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, but with an almost dark cherry flavor as well. Maybe from the bourbon? Regardless, the flavor profile is pretty impressive in this fairly sweet impy stout. Mouthfeel is fairly full, with a long, moderately sweet, bourbon infused finish. Alcohol is pretty well integrated into the flavor profile, though you can tell it's up there a bit. Even so, this is a pretty nice, very drinkable bba stout.
Really nice beer from these guys. Would definitely order again.
