Latitude 42 Brewing Company - Oshtemo

Spacious satellite location to the Portage flagship, featuring the same brews and some elevated pub grub. Plenty of room to spread out or host a larger gathering, with TVs for those catching the game (any game, really).

This second location for Latitude Brewing has been open for about 3 weeks. It is located just west of the US-131 interchange on the south side of Main Street. The building is new, and some landscaping remains to be done once warm weather arrives. The place has been extremely busy since it opened so we planned our visit at mid-afternoon to avoid the crowd. The looks and feel of the place is very similar to the main location, although this location appears slightly smaller. The brewing equipment is visible, although not fully installed, so no brewing is being done yet.

The beers served are from the main brewery for now, and I think that I read that most of the beer menu in the future will continue to be from the main brewery even when this location starts using their equipment. We've visited the main location numerous times so we are familiar with most of their beers and have loved all of them, so we chose to order a 4-beer sampler flight of some that we have not previously tried. Each of them is brewed very well to style, and we gave an overall B grade to them.

The food menu looks to be identical to the menu at the main brewery, so familiarity existed with us again. They do a great job with the food prep. We sat at the bar because the hostess said it would be a 10 minute wait (yes, at mid-afternoon on a Wednesday), and the service was very good. Beer in cans is available to go in the swag shop. This place is highly recommended.
