Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a one finger tan head that slowly fades while leaving shards of lacing
Smell: Chocolate, vanilla, Bourbon, oak and fruity coffee tones
Taste: Chocolate and fruity coffee forward with the Bourbon developing; oaky, with some vanilla emerging, after the swallow; strong woody character in the aftertaste - almost like Balsa wood
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: Other than the odd finish, I rather enjoyed this one as the malty flavors were well-complemented by the Bourbon barrel
